Mimulus offers two courses for those interested in environmental community stewardship. Mimulus is certified to teach both Streamkeepers and Wetlandkeepers. We offer these courses throughout the year, but will gladly put a course together if you have a group who want to learn.
Wetlandkeepers is a 2½ day introduction to wetland stewardship. The course offers individuals an opportunity for hands-on practice of wetland conservation skills, such as conducting wetland, plant and bird surveys, wetland mapping and raising public awareness. Participants that successfully complete the course are awarded a Wetlandkeepers Certificate.
Streamkeepers is a fun and educational 2½ day introduction to stream stewardship. This weekend course offers individuals an opportunity for hands-on learning and practice of stream stewardship activities such as stream surveying, conducting water quality testing, and stream invertebrate identification. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to get your hands wet! Participants that successfully complete the course will be awarded a Streamkeepers Certificate.
